Excellent harmonies, great musicianship and a pleasant, unpretentious stage presence really emphasized Taylor's vocals. Some bands have only a handful of songs that elicit an enthusiastic fan response, and their concerts tend to sag other than those songs. The lyrics to Dorothy songs are all so consistently meaningful and memorable, with every word clear and a nice reverb effect to heighten the impact. I suspect they sense the vibe at each venue in terms of how the audience might respond to the more mellow songs. Their albums have become progressively less acoustic and I would have liked to have heard "Million Dollar Bill" or some of the acoustic songs from the first album but that's a minor quibble. And with 3 equally great albums, there's now plenty in their repertoire to choose from.
